Walmart invited renown wellness program designers, ZP Inc., to build a combined fitness, food, and family, and financial improvement program for their workforce, with the added incentive of a cash-reward contest component. Rolled out in 3 US markets, ZP Challenge for Walmart ultimately scaled to all US and Puerto Rico markets, grew to become available for Walmart customers. At the time of its acquisition by Thrive Global in 2020, had upwards of 120,000 participants annually and had awarded over 1.3 million dollars in prize money.
ZP Inc’s creative team was responsible for the entirety of the digital and print marketing, program, and contest materials. From the initial roll out in print and web, ZP Challenge scaled to a large ecosystem of print, web, and social platforms, and launched their own mobile app within 2 years of start-up. ZP’s founders believed in real-life story telling, and the entirety of the creative content was crafted around Walmart associates and their personal improvement achievements with ZP Challenge.
• Contributed to the development of the program and established brand guidelines, for both B2B and B2C audiences
• Copywriting and copy-editing for all program and marketing materials including print materials, websites, social content, and app content
• Evolved into the Editorial Director role, managing a team of writers, editors, and project managers
• Developed content management processes and systems for leveraging content across multiple platforms.
• Worked successfully with in-house photography, video, and technical co-workers and client HR, brand, and executive leadership teams.
• Created and managed ZP’s Community Experience department and team for supporting and engaging with program participants
